Thomas RICK, farmer, Section 31, Town of White Oak Springs, Lafayette County, 
Wisconsin, P. O. White Oak Springs, was born 22 January 1847 in 
Leicestershire, England. In 1850 he came to Galena [Jo Daviess County, 
Illinois], thence to La Fayette County, Wisconsin. In the fall he returned 
to Jo [p 751] Daviess County and remained there until 1870, when came to his 
present farm.

On 22 January 1867 he [Thomas RICK] married Josephine ARTHUR [a maiden 
name?], who was born in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. They [Thomas and 
Josephine RICK] have four children: Marvin A., Charles T., Nellie J., and 
Arthur. Mr. RICK owns 153 acres of land. He has been Assessor for the Town 
of White Oak Springs the last three years.
