Chicago: Western Historical, 1881, p 727 Albert RICHARDSON, County Treasurer, Town of Darlington, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, was born 13 March 1830 in Genesee County, New York. His parents came West to Wisconsin, and he settled in La Fayette County in 1849. In 1851 he went to California, where he remained five years, and then returned here. He again engaged in farming, and had one of the finest and best improved farms, about one mile west of the city [of Darlington, a border city in both Willow Springs and Darlington Townships]. In 1860 Mr. [Albert] RICHARDSON was united in marriage to Miss Philora INGERSOLL. They [Albert and Philora (INGERSOLL) RICHARDSON] have six children: Claribel, Minnie, Philora, Charles, Marvin, and Button. In 1876 Mr. RICHARDSON was elected County Treasurer, was re-elected in 1878, and has held the office four years. [Albert RICHARDSON is listed (p 492) as County Treasurer from 1877-1880.
