William PEDLEY, a farmer, Section 11, Town of Benton [Lafayette County, 
Wisconsin], P. O. Etna [Lafayette County], was born 22 April 1818, in 
Yorkshire, England. In 1848 he came to the town of New Diggings [Lafayette 
County, Territory of Wisconsin if he came prior to 29 May 1848, when 
Wisconsin became a State]. He owns over 300 acres of land; has been fifteen 
years Treasurer of the School Board. [William PEDLEY] married Mrs. HARKER; 
she was born in Durham, England; he has four children by a former marriage, 
three sons and one daughter.
