CHARLES L. COLMAN was born in 1826, in the State of New York.  
In 1840 he removed to Green Bay, Wis., with his parents, remaining 
there five years, when he removed to Fond du Lac, Wis.  In 1854, he 
removed to La Crosse, Wis., and engaged in the lumber business, in 
which he has since been actively engaged.
