JOHN KUESTER, cigar-maker; born in Milwaukee Sept. 2, 1852; lived 
there until he was 9 or 10 years of age; then for two or three years lived 
in Hartford, Washington Co., Wis.; from there he came to Watertown, 
where he has since resided; commenced work as cigar-maker for 
Wiggenhorn Bros. ten years ago; in December, 1876, he commenced 
business for himself and continued until May, 1878; worked at 
machinist’s trade for Kunert Bros. several months.  Mr. Kuester is a 
member of Pioneer Fire Co., No. 1.  Oct. 16, 1875, he married Miss 
Mary Kunert; she was born in Watertown; they have two children – 
Rosa and Fred.
