LEWIS KNIESEL, proprietor of butchering establishment; was born in Hessia, Germany, Jan. 31, 1819; he learned his trade in his native country, and about the year 1845, he went to Frankfort on the Main, where he was in the employ of one man for seven years; came to Watertown in 1853, where he has since lived.
