O. Alaska [Pierce Township], was born 11 December 1841 in Saxony [Germany]. In 1856 he came to Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, and worked at farming and at the carpenter trade about twelve years. In the spring of 1868 he came to Pierce Township, where he has since lived. Mr. SCHMIDT owns 160 acres of land. In 1866 F. W. SCHMIDT was married [Miss?] Theressa SEIFERT, also of Saxony. They [F. W. and Theressa SCHMIDT] have five children, four sons and one daughter. Mr. SCHMIDT has been Town Clerk two years, Chairman of the Town [Pierce] four years, Clerk of School Board, and Justice of Peace. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
