YULE, of Kenosha, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, assistant foreman in Edward BAIN's wagon factory [Bain Wagon Works], was born in 1831 in Scotland. He came to [the Territory of] Wisconsin in May 1840, locating at Somers, Kenosha County [then part of Racine County; Kenosha County created from the southern portion of Racine County on 26 January 1850]. At the age of eighteen years he came to Kenosha and worked for Mitchell & Quarles at manufacturing wagons for two years. John T. YULE was then employed by Crosit & Stewart for one year, and afterward worked at manufacturing carriages for two years. In 1874 John T. YULE was appointed assistant foreman for Edward BAIN [Bain Wagon Works], which position he at present holds. In 1851 John T. YULE married Miss Lucy TAPLING, who died at Kenosha [Kenosha County, Wisconsin] in the spring of 1862. John T. and Lucy (TAPLING) YULE had one son. In 1870 John T. YULE married again, to Miss Hattie V. REED, a native of Michigan. John T. and Hattie V. (REED) YULE have had four children, three girls and one boy. In 1872 John T. YULE was Alderman of the Third Ward [of the city of Kenosha]; member of the Congregational Church; Republican.
