Chicago: Western Historical, 1879, p 726 Mrs. Ann WILSON, Section 7, Brighton Township, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, P. O. Burlington [Racine County, Wisconsin], was born 10 August 1811 in Scotland. Her husband, William WILSON, was born in Scotland in September 1811. They [Michael and Ann WILSON] went to Chautauqua County, New York, where he engaged in farming, and lived there until 1841. They then they came to [the Territory of] Wisconsin, and located in Brighton Township [Kenosha County]. William WILSON engaged in farming and followed it up to the time of his death, 15 April 1870. They [William and Ann WILSON] were married in May 1835 in Scotland, and had six children, only four now living: (1) Anna, born in August 1837, who married Andrew PATTERSON, a resident of Salem Township, Kenosha County, Wisconsin; (2) William, born in February 1840, who was killed in the army at the battle of Chickamauga [the second bloodiest battle of the Civil War, fought 19-20 September 1863]; (3) James, born in 1842, who married and is living in the State of Missouri; (4) John, born in July 1845, who died in the late war, in 1865; (5) Margaret, born o3 June 1849, now teaching school in Brighton Township, Kenosha County, Wisconsin; and (6) Robert, born 28 December 1851. They [Mrs. Ann WILSON and her family, since William is deceased] own eighty acres of fine land [in Brighton Township], barns, a comfortable house, and have a pleasant home. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
