WI BIO - Kenosha Co - WILCOX, Levi P. History of Racine and Kenosha Cos, WI - Chicago: Western Historical Co., 1879 - p 737 Levi P. WILCOX, farmer, Section 34, Randall Township, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, P. O. Wilmot [Salem Township, Kenosha County] was born in Rhode Island in 1830. He came to [the Territory of] Wisconsin in 1845 [Wisconsin not a State until 29 May 1848], and located at Brighton [Brighton Township, Kenosha County] for one year. Levi P. WILCOX moved to Michigan, and then returned to Wisconsin, locating at Randall [Randall Township, Kenosha County] in 1863. He worked on a farm on Section 26 [Randall Township] for a short time, then started a wagon shop in Wilmot [Salem Township], and continued for sixteen years. In 1877 he moved to Section 34 [Randall Township], where he is at present farming 320 acres. In 1849 Levi P. WILCOX married Miss Eliza CURTIS, a native of Ireland. Levi P. and Eliza (CURTIS) WILCOX have seven children, four boys and three girls; one girl died in 1874. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
