WI BIO - Kenosha Co - SCHUERMAN, Theodore History of Racine & Kenosha Counties, Wisconsin. Chicago: Western Historical, 1879, p 730 Theodore SCHUERMAN, farmer, Sections 26 & 35, Wheatland Township, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, P. O. Wheatland, was born in April 1809 in Westphalia, Prussia. In 1828 he enlisted in the Prussian army, served until 1830, and was honorably discharged. He then returned to his home in Westphalia and followed his occupation of farming. In July 1840 in Westphalia he [Theodore SCHUERMAN] married Miss Savilla DELLMAN, who was also born in Westphalia. They [Theodore and Savilla (DELLMAN) SCHUERMAN] had nine children, six now living: (1) Angela, who married Ben THIEGS, a farmer in Wisconsin; (2) Mena, who married H. HOLLENKAMP, a farmer; (3) Mary, who married Benjamin HOLLENKAMP, a farmer [related to Mena's husband?]; (4) Dora, who married A. RICHTER, a farmer living in Wheatland [Kenosha County, Wisconsin]; (5) Henry, a blacksmith, working in Burlington [Racine County, Wisconsin]; and (6) Franz, who is assisting his father in working the farm. Mr. [Theodore] SCHUERMAN came to Wisconsin in 1847; located and bought the farm where he is now living. He is leading a very industrious life, and by his good management has accumulated a good property; he is the owner of 164 acres of good land, part of which extends to the Fox River; his farm is well improved.
