SAUER, Postmaster and merchant, Slades Corners, Wheatland Township, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, was born [09 November] 1851 in Calumet [Calumet Township], Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin [and died 26 June 1910]. In 1869 he came to Kenosha County. In 1874 he started in business at his present location. On 16 December 1878 he was appointed Postmaster [at Slades Corners]. In 1875 he married Miss Maggie KESSLER, who was born [16 January 1852] in Massachusetts [and died 26 May 1920]. They [Paul E. and Margaret (KESSLER) SAUER] have one son, Paul, who was born 28 October 1877. Mr. and Mrs. SAUER are members of the Lutheran Church.
