Chicago: Western Historical, 1879, p 737 Lewis ROBERTSON, farmer, Sections 15 and 16, Randall Township, Kenosha County, Wisconsin, P. O. Bassett's Station [Randall Township], was born 16 February 1811 in Washington County, New York. He always followed farming, settled in Kenosha [Racine] County 01 June 1842 [in the Territory of Wisconsin; the State of Wisconsin formed 29 May 1848; Kenosha County in 1842 still a part of Racine County; Kenosha County created 26 January 1850]. He [Lewis ROBERTSON] owns 160 acres of land. On 01 January 1839 he [Lewis ROBERTSON] married Miss Jane Ann REYNOLDS, daughter of D. J. REYNOLDS of Washington County, New York. She [Jane Ann REYNOLDS] was born 26 April 1817. They [Lewis and Jane Ann (REYNOLDS) ROBERTSON] had five children, three boys and two girls: (1) John Henry, born 13 October 1839; (2) Mary E., born 19 November 1845; (3) Franklin L., born 03 October 1847; (4) George Washington, born 05 March 1852; and (5) Sarah L., born 07 October 1854.
