On 01 Jan 1916, James R. ANDERSON assumed the duties of Assistant Manager of 
the American Brass Company at Kenosha, WI. He had been a representative of 
the corporation for 13 years, having entered its employ in 1903, when the 
company was known as the Chicago Brass Company, and a recognition of his 
faithfulness, diligence, and capability led to promotion from time to time, 
bringing added responsibility but also added opportunities. Today he is in a 
position demanding executive powers.

James R. ANDERSON was born on 28 Dec 1886 in Kenosha, WI. He obtained a 
public school education and business training in the College of Commerce, and 
was a youth of 17 years when he entered the service of the Chicago Brass 
Company. He has never dissipated his energies over a broad field, but has 
concentrated upon a single line, and this has brought him a thorough mastery 
of the business. [p 618]

James R. ANDERSON was married, 25 Apr 1916, to Miss Janet LANCE, of Kenosha, 
WI, a daughter of A. H. LANCE, Vice President of the Simmons Company. In 
politics James R. ANDERSON is independent, voting according to the dictates 
of his judgment rather than according to party dictation. Fraternally his is 
well known, being popular in Masonic and Elk circles.
