INGALLS, farmer and cheese manufacturer, Milford; born in Jefferson Co., N.Y.; came to Wisconsin in 1849; located in Aztalan Township; went to farming; in 1854, moved to Milford Township; engaged in farming; in 1870, moved to the village where he now resides, and, in 1871, built a cheese-factory; began the manufacturing of cheese; his factory burning down, he, the same fall, purchased a building which he converted into a factory, which he again started in 1872. Was Superintendent of Schools ten years; has been Justice of the Peace, Town Clerk and Assessor several years. Married, at Rutland, Jefferson Co., N.Y., Dec. 31, 1840, Miss Charlotte A.
