Palmyra; born in Cornwall, Eng., Feb. 3, 1830; came to America with his parents in 1844; settled on the farm he now owns of 170 acres the same year. He married Miss Jane E. Lean Dec. 4, 1856; they have four children - Edwin J., Clarence W., Lewis and Celia. Mr. Hooper is a Republican, and a member, with his wife, of the B. C. Church.
