HERMANN HEISMANN, manufacturer and dealer in boots and shoes; 
was born in Germany Nov. 18, 1832; came to Watertown in 1852; when 
16 years of age, he commenced his present trade.  Jan. 9, 1857, he 
married Eliza Spingler, also a native of Germany, by whom he has had 
seven children, five of whom survive - John, Edward, Bertha, Charles 
and Frank, Mena and Emma having died.  He is a member of the 
German Methodist Church.
