WALTER GROVES, blacksmith, Palmyra; born in Erie Co., N.Y., Feb. 5, 1837; came to Wisconsin in 1857, locating in Palmyra; having learned his trade in New York, he opened a shop in 1859, where he has since been in business. He married Miss Martha Fairbrother, of Palmyra, in 1860; they have two sons – Delbert W. and Charlie F. Mr. Groves is a Republican, and is liberal in religion.
