WILLIAMS, general wholesale produce dealer, Berlin, Green Lake County, Wisconsin, was born in 1844 in Wales, son of David D. and Ann (EVANS) WILLIAMS, whose ancestors were inhabitants of Wales for many generations. He came to America with his parents in 1857. They located in Columbia County [Wisconsin], where they bought land and engaged in farming, and where they [David D. and Ann (EVANS) WILLIAMS] still live. Mr. [William D.] WILLIAMS lived with them until 1861, when he went to Milwaukee and commenced his business career in the commission house of Samuel BROWN, remaining with him five years, [p 359] when he came to this city [Berlin], and established his present business, in 1868. In 1869 in Berlin, Green Lake County, Wisconsin, William D. WILLIAMS was married to Miss Jennie HOWELL, a native of Ohio. They [William D. and Jennie (HOWELL) WILLIAMS] have three children.
