Simon WIECZOREK, Berlin [Green Lake County, Wisconsin], was born in Russian Poland in 1838. His father was a farmer, with whom he spent the early years of his life, and received his preliminary education. He pursued his theological studies at Orleans, in France, and completed them at the college in Rome, in 1863. The same year he came to this country, locating in Michigan, where he remained four years, building two churches. He then went to Chicago [Cook County, Illinois], where he remained one year, when he came to Milwaukee diocese, and took charge of St. Stanislaus [Kostka] Church, of this city [Berlin, Green Lake County, Wisconsin], where he has rendered valuable services in building up the church and increasing its membership. [St. Stanislaus Kostka (Polish) Roman Catholic church (167 N. Wisconsin Street in Berlin), founded in 1873, was recently merged with St. Michael's (Polish) Roman Catholic (320 S. W. Franklin Street in Berlin), founded 1895, and St. Joseph's (German) Roman Catholic (246 E.
