WI BIO - Green Co - YOUNG, Samuel (brother of Isaac) History of Green County, Wisconsin. Springfield, IL, Union Publishing Company, 1884, p 1076 On 03 January 1860, Samuel YOUNG married Miss M. T. HENDERSON, a daughter of William HENDERSON. On 14 August 1861 Samuel YOUNG enlisted in Company K, Twenty-second Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, and served until the close of the [Civil] War, then went into the railroad service at Monroe [Green County], Wisconsin. After five and a half years he was appointed station agent for the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad Company at Juda [Green County, Wisconsin]. His father, Evin G. YOUNG, died at Juda [Green County, Wisconsin] on 12 December 1880 at the age of eighty-one years. His mother, Barbara A. YOUNG, died 06 January 1881 at the age of seventy-five years. Subsequently he [Samuel YOUNG] bought the old farm in [the town of] Jefferson [Green County, Wisconsin, about two miles south of the village of Juda] and is the present owner, but he still continues in the service of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad Company at Juda as station agent. Samuel and M. T. (HENDERSON) YOUNG four children: (1) Grace E., born 18 June 1862; (2) Esther A., born 03 June 1866; (3) William S., born 02 June 1870; and (4) Frederick F., born 21 May 1878.
