WI BIO - Green Co - WING, E.T. History of Green County, Wisconsin. Springfield, IL: Union Publishing, 1884, p 740 E. T. WING was born 13 November 1822 in Addison County, Vermont. He grew to manhood and learned his trade in Vermont, and subsequently lived in various places previous to coming to Wisconsin in 1854. He first stopped in Evansville [Rock County, Wisconsin], where he worked at his trade of carpenter, building the Congregational church and other buildings in that place. In January 1855 Mr. WING became a resident of Green County, Wisconsin, settling on Section 2, Brooklyn [Brooklyn Township, in the northeast corner of Green County], where he had previously purchased eighty acres of unimproved land, upon which he has since resided, engaged in farming, and also at different intervals working at his trade. He now owns 205 acres of land adorned with good improvements. In September 1847 he [E. T. WING] was married to Sarah A. WARD [a maiden name?], who was also born in Vermont. They [E. T. and Sarah A. WING] have three children: (1) Allen J.; (2) Genie, now the wife of Willis SEARLES; and (3) Ada. Mr. Wing is a Republican and has held local office. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
