Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, p 185 Archie L. FARNHAM, merchant, Canaan, was born 01 May 1885 at Canaan [Essex County, Vermont], son of George F. and Alma (SCHOFF) FARNHAM. Educated in the public schools of Canaan, Canaan High School, class of 1902, and New Hampton Commercial College, class of 1905. He worked as a clerk in a store one year. In 1907 he purchased a large grocery and hardware store at Canaan, which he has since conducted. Mr. FARNHAM is a Republican, was town clerk 1911-1912, and is active in the affairs of the town. He is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, the Grange, the Knights of Pythias, the Modern Woodmen of America, and the Knights of the Maccabees. In 1908 Mr. [Archie L.] FARNHAM married [Miss?] Zella I. HARMON of Island Pond [Grand Isle County, Vermont]. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
