WI BIO - Dunn Co - ZUEHLKE, Rodolph A. History of Northern Wisconsin. Chicago: Western Historical, 1881, vol I, p 289 Rodolph A. ZUEHLKE, of the firm of Zuehlke & Moody, general merchants, Rusk [Dunn County, Wisconsin], was born in Germany in 1853. He came to this country in 1869, when only sixteen years of age. He lived for a short time in Fort Atkinson [Jefferson County], Wisconsin. The following February he went to Eau Claire [Eau Claire County, Wisconsin], where he lived until 1873. In 1873 Rodolph A. ZUEHLKE went to Menomonie [Dunn County, Wisconsin], where he was employed as clerk for a time for Mr. Fred URSINUS, and was afterward engaged at Schutte & Quilling. He took charge of the store for Schutte and Quilling at Rusk [Dunn County] in the spring of 1876. In October following [October 1876] he bought the stock of goods and continued business under the firm name of Pritz & Zuehlke. His partner, Mr. Pritz, died in January 1880. In March following [March 1880], Mr. MOODY engaged with him. Mr. [Rodolph A.] ZUEHLKE married [Miss] Mary HARMS, daughter of John HARMS.
