YOUNG, foreman for Hall & Dunn, Knapp [Dunn County, Wisconsin], was born in County Antrim, Ireland, in 1834. He came to the United States in July 1851, and lived in New Jersey about two years. W. D. YOUNG came to Milwaukee [Milwaukee County, Wisconsin] in 1853, and lived in Oconto County, Wisconsin, until 1861, when he enlisted in the Fourth Wisconsin Cavalry and served three years. W. D. YOUNG went to Menomonie [County, Wisconsin] in 1865 and engaged for Knapp, Stout & Company, and remained with this firm until the summer of 1880. He has been in his present business since May 1881.
