JOHN B. ROTTMAN, wood, ties and posts, Bailey’s Harbor.  Born Dec 6, 1850 in 
Washington County WI.  At about the age of ten he came to Oshkosh; was apprenticed to 
the carpenter trade; worked at it about eight years; he then came to Sturgeon Bay.  July 7, 
1875 he removed to Bailey’s Harbor, and has since been engaged in this business.  He 
also has charge of the Kilgore Pier.  Married in 1878 to Miss. M.A. Kilgore. She was 
born in Port Washington.  Have two children, one son and one daughter.  He is a member 
of the Town Board, and School Clerk; he is also a member of the Sons of Herman, 
having joined in Fond Du Lac in 1869.
