WIGGERT, harness maker, Beaver Dam [Dodge County, Wisconsin], was born in Germany on 05 November 1844, and came to Wisconsin in November of 1865, locating in La Crosse [LaCrosse County]. He received his early education in Germany, and served his apprenticeship with Otto OHLER of La Crosse [Wisconsin]. In the spring of 1869 he came to Beaver Dam, and worked as journeyman with Mr. John CLARK, and afterward at Rio [Columbia County, Wisconsin], a short time, and then returned to Beaver Dam and again worked for Mr. CLARK. In 1870 he started the harness business on his own account, and has continued the same up to the present writing. On 02 January 1874 E. B. WIGGERT was married to Miss Annie WEIMER of Westford, Dodge County, Wisconsin. He has two children living: Cecelia and Paulina. [Unless the text contains a typo, the use of "he" and not "they" in the preceding sentence signals that E. B. and Annie (WEIMER) WIGGERT may not have been the parents of both children.
