Chicago: Western Historical, 1880, p 653 Frederick SCHELLPFEFFER, farmer, Section 27, Mayville [on a map of Dodge County in the 1878 Atlas of Wisconsin, Mayville is located in Williamstown Township], P. O. Mayville, was born 26 August 1828 in Prussia, where he spent his early life and was educated, and was in the Prussian Army for three years. He came to America and to Dodge County [Wisconsin] in 1853, worked as a farm hand, and used to get six dollars per month in harvest. He settled on forty acres of timbered land in 1856, worked hard chopping out a farm of 110 acres, which has good improvements. In 1855 he [Frederick SCHELLPFEFFER] married Miss Anna KEILE. They [Frederick and Anna (KEILE) SCHELLPFEFFER] have eight children: Frederick, Henry, Amelia, Charles, Emma, August, Louisa, and Clara. Mr. SCHELLPFEFFER is a Democrat, has been Supervisor twice, and is a member of the Lutheran Church of Mayville. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
