WI BIO - Dodge Co - ROCHE, Patrick History of Dodge County, Wisconsin. Chicago: Western Historical, 1880, p 747 Patrick ROCHE, farmer, Section 23 [Elba Township, Dodge County, Wisconsin], P. O. Danville [Elba Township], was born in 1821 in County Wexford, Ireland. He came to this country with his father, Robert ROCHE, in 1849. They lived in Utica [County], New York, about two and a half years, and from there in the fall of 1851 went to Fox Lake Township, Dodge County [Wisconsin]. In 1852 Mr. [Patrick] ROCHE purchased his present farm. He [Patrick ROCHE] was married in 1854 to Honora FLYNN [a maiden name?]. They [Patrick and Honora ROCHE] have four sons and five daughters. Mr. ROCHE was elected to the General Assembly of the State of Iowa in 1846, and served one term. [The lands that became the State of Iowa were contained within the Territory of Wisconsin until Iowa became a State on 28 December 1846]. He has also served two terms as Supervisor of Elba Township [in Dodge County, Wisconsin]. The farm contains 210 acres. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
