FRANK SHOWERS was born in Cross Plains in 1847. He lived 
on a farm until 1865. He worked in a cooper shop four 
years and in a blacksmith's shop eighteen years. In 1868 
he married Miss Sophia Querhammer, and in 1892 they moved 
on their farm just outside the village limits of 
Mazomanie. They have three children: Fred, Grace and 
Milton.
