CHRISTIAN PARMAN was born in Germany in 1838 and came to 
Black Earth in 1854. He worked around for six years and 
then bought a farm in Black Earth, where he lived until 
1891, when he moved to Mazomanie. He has been village 
trustee for six years. The children living are: Louis, 
Edward, Mrs. Alvah Drake, Mrs. Bert Hayden, all in Black 
Earth, and Pauline Parmen in Mazomanie.
