JOHN HUDSON was born in Belchford, Lincolnshire, Eng., and came to Gorstville in 1843. He was the first settler on the present village site. He died in 1865. The children now living are: Andrew, in Dakota; John, in Grand Meadow, Minn.; James, in Mazomanie; and Mary, now Mrs. Hutton, in Wyoming.
