The History of the Township and Village of Mazomanie, BY WILLIAM KITTLE, MADISON, WIS. STATE JOURNAL PRINTING CO. 1900. W. A. HASELTINE was born in Rockbridge, Wis., May 9, 1859. At the age of sixteen he spent one year on a farm in Minnesota and then attended an academy in Osceola, Iowa. He then taught school for several terms in the township of Mazomanie. In 1881 he married Miss Anna C. Smith and moved to Hyde, Wis., where [he] kept a store for three years. In 1884 he moved to Mazomanie, where he has since resided. During the past twelve years he has traveled for John V. Farwell & Co., of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Haseltine have two children: Winfred David and Louise Jane. Submitted by Randi McCartney
