He came to Gorstville in 1845, and six years later bought his present farm. In 1852 he married Prudence Copley. They have eight children: Dr. Charles Gorst in Baraboo, Wis.; Wm. Gorst, presiding elder of the M. E. church at Neligh, Neb.; Robert N., at Trout Lake, Mich.; Drusilla, wife of Chas Orcutt, in Nebraska; George, on the farm; Sarah, wife of B. C. Delamater, at Tigerton, Wis.; Wealthy, wife of H. E. Bonchard, in Michigan; and Bessie, with her parents. Submitted by Randi McCartney
