H. J. GODDARD was born in Andover, Vermont, in 1838, and 
in 1864 was married to Miss Abbie Peabody, a relative of 
the celebrated George Peabody. In 1870 they moved to 
Mazomanie, where they have since resided. Their childen 
are: William B., who now lives in Colorado, and Rena E., 
in Mazomanie. Another son, Robert A., died in 1866.
