The History of the Township and Village of Mazomanie, BY WILLIAM KITTLE, MADISON, WIS. STATE JOURNAL PRINTING CO. 1900. FREDERICK DIMENT was born in Bridport, Dorsetshire, Eng., in 1821. He came to Mazomanie in 1847 and settled on a farm four miles east of the present village. He remained there till 1890, when he moved to the village. He has been supervisor of the township for five years. The children are: George, in Columbia, S. D.; James, postmaster at Owatonna, Minn.; H. W. and Walter, at Fairmont, Minn.; John, at Hokah, Minn.; Laura, now Mrs. Keeley, at Loomis, Cal.; Frank, at Mazomanie; and Clara, now Mrs. Robinson, at Chillicothe, Mo. Submitted by Randi McCartney
