JOHN BRAUN was born in Switzerland in 1846. He came to 
Wisconsin in 1872 and two years later to Mazomanie, where 
he has resided since, except six years spent on a farm in 
Dakota. In 1877 he married Miss Emma Davis and they have 
one child--Mabel. He has been village trustee the last 
five years.
