ALBERT M. BENEDICT was born in East Hartford, Conn., in 
1827, and came to Mazomanie in 1863. He lived on a farm 
about one-half mile northeast of the village until 1890, 
when he went to Madison for two years to take the course 
in agriculture in the University. In 1892 he became one of 
the chief stockholders and managers of the creamery and is 
engaged in that business now.
