Was a member of the General Assembly, elected in 1856; has been Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for seven or eight years; County Surveyor for thirty years; is a member of F.&A.M. and of the Grange. Married, at Portland, Dodge Co., in 1848, Betsey L. Wicker, of Vermont, who died in 1850. Married, second time, at Portland, Dodge Co., Melissa L.
