Educated in the public schools. Has followed farming, and has also been a creamery proprietor and traveling salesman for the De Lavl Separator Company. Republican; member of the Republican county committee; has been selectman, lister, school director, road commissioner and county supervisor of highways, represented Westford in the state Legislature 1902; senator from Chittenden County 1908.
