FLETCHER, farmer, Shelburne [Chittenden County, Vermont], was born 25 September 1853 at Indianapolis [Marion County], Indiana, son of Stoughton A. and Julia A. FLETCHER. Educated at Willston Seminary, East Hampton, Massachusetts. Engaged in agricultural pursuits. Republican; has taken an active interest in the affairs of the Republican party; represented the town of Cavendish [Windsor County] in the Vermont Legislature of 1902, 1906, 1908, and 1910; represented Windsor County in the senate of 1904, and was a member of the committee appointed to revise the constitution of the State of Vermont. Is a trustee of the village of Proctorsville [Windsor County, Vermont], and is a member of the Grange, a Mason, and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
