CHURCHILL, druggist, Burlington [Chittenden County, Vermont], was born 16 May 1868 at Hudson Falls [Washington County], New York, son of Frank A. and Mary M. (SCHAFFER) CHURCHILL. He was educated at Hudson Falls High School. He learned the jeweler's trade in Hudson Falls, New York, where he was engaged two years; the machinists' trade in Schenectady [Schenectady County, New York], where he was employed three years; and he learned pharmacy in Rutland [Rutland County, Vermont], where he was engaged eight years. Mr. CHURCHILL came to Burlington in 1896, and succeeded George L. LaFountain & Company, druggists, continuing business since. Republican. Religious preference Methodist. Member of Washington Lodge No. 3, Free & Accepted Masons; Burlington Chapter No. 3, Royal Arch Masons; Burlington Commandery No. 2, Knights Templar; Cairo Temple, Mystic Shrine; Lake Chaplain Yacht Club; Ethan Allen Club; and a charter member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
