Frederick E. BURGESS, banker and lumber manufacturer, Burlington [Chittenden 
County, Vermont], was born 19 December 1863 at Hoosick [Rensselaer County], 
New York, son of Naira BURGESS. Was teller, First National Bank, North 
Bennington [Bennington County]; was teller, Merchants National Bank, 
Burlington; then assistant cashier, cashier, vice president and now 
president, Howard National Bank, Burlington; is president of Horatio Hickok 
Company, lumber manufacturers; director, Baldwin Refrigerator Company, and 
Welch Brothers Maple Company.

In 1885 Mr. [Frederick E.] BURGESS married [Miss?] Agnes A. HULING of North 
Bennington [Bennington County, Vermont]. They have two children: Helen 
Madeline and Frederick Vaughn. Mr. BURGESS is a Republican; he was formerly 
secretary of the state committee. He is a Unitarian. Mr. BURGESS is a 
member of Washington Lodge No. 3, Free & Accepted Masons; Ethan Allen Club; 
Algonquin Club, and Lake Champlain Yacht Club.
