BUCKLEY, plumber and steam fitter, Burlington [Chittenden County, Vermont], was born 15 December 1858 in Charlestown [Suffolk County], Massachusetts, son of John T. and Mary S. (WARNER) BUCKLEY. Educated in the public schools of Boston [Suffolk County], Massachusetts; served apprenticeship in the shop of his father who for forty years conducted a plumbing shop in Boston. In 1887 removed to Burlington; employed by T. A. WHEELOCK five years; in 1892 formed partnership with W. S. BULLOCK under firm name W. H. Buckley & Company, continuing until 1903; since then has continued business alone under same firm name; has equipped many of the leading public and private buildings of his city and state, including the Richardson, Burlington; Fort Ethan Allen; Burlington High School; Morrill Hall, University of Vermont, and others. In 1888 he [William H. BUCKLEY] married [Miss?] Ida E. BULLOCK of Burlington. They have seven children: Ruth Mary, Arthur Harold, Hazel Warner, William H. Jr., Harold Clifton, Dorothy Elizabeth, and Robert Edward. Mr. BUCKLEY is a Republican. Member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
