Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, p 115 Frederick Wheaton BAYLIES, physician and surgeon, Burlington [Chittenden County, Vermont], was born 15 October 1871 at Taunton [Bristol County], Massachusetts, son of Charles and Cornelia (SMITH) BAYLIES. Educated in the public schools of Taunton, Massachusetts; Bristol Academy, Taunton, Massachusetts; and University of Vermont medical department. After graduation he was instructor and adjunct professor of chemistry in the University of Vermont medical department for two years; has since been in active practice; has taken special work in large laboratories in New York and Boston in pathology of the blood, the making of autogenous vaccines, and clinical diagnosis. Member of the Burlington and Chittenden County Clinical Society; Vermont State Medical Society; and American Medical Society. In 1891 he [Frederick Wheaton BAYLIES] married [Miss?] Lenora W. ESTES of New Bedford [Bristol County], Massachusetts; they have four children living: Miriam, Cecil LeBaron, Eunice, and Cornelia Josephine. Dr. BAYLIES is a Republican. Member of the Unitarian Church. Member of Old Colony Historical Society of Taunton, Massachusetts; the Independent Order of Foresters; Washington Lodge No. 3, Free & Accepted Masons; Hamilton Lodge No. 14, Independent Order of Odd Fellows; Green Mountain Encampment No. 3, I.
