ASELTINE, life insurance, Burlington, Chittenden County, Vermont, was born 07 March 1869 at Morgan, Orleans County, Vermont, son of Alanson M. and Esther D. (TRAVER) ASELTINE. He was educated in the public schools. Previous to 1894 he was employed as clerk in a store, and as a commercial traveler, and was engaged in general insurance and real estate at Enosburg Falls [Franklin County, Vermont], 1894-1909, when he sold the business to his brother, Albert A. ASELTINE, removed to Burlington, and took the general agency for the state of Vermont for the Equitable Life Assurance Society of New York. In 1892 Azro M. ASELTINE married [Miss?] Anna B. BEATTY of Enosburg Falls, Franklin County, Vermont. They have two children, Kenneth M. and Esther D. Mr. ASELTINE is a Republican; village trustee and chairman of Republican town committee in Enosburg; member of Methodist Episcopal Church; steward of the church, and president of Men's Social Union.
