Caledonia MORSE, Amasa Vermont Historical Magazine, No. XI, October 1867, p 333 (extracted from a section on the history of Hardwick, Caledonia County, Vermont) Dr. Amasa MORSE was the first physician in Hardwick [Caledonia County, Vermont]. He came into town with his family in 1800, and continued to practice until his death. "He was a very kind and feeling man and a good family physician." [No source given for this quote by the author.] He [Amasa MORSE] died in 1820, aged forty-six years.
