Caledonia KIMBALL, James L. Vermont Historical Magazine, No. XI, October 1867, p 349 (extracted from a section on the history of Lyndon, Caledonia County, Vermont) Rev. James L. KIMBALL graduated at Dartmouth College about 1823 or 1824, and having studied divinity, was ordained, and enjoyed bright prospects of eminence and future usefulness, when the destroying angel entered the abode of his father, Jude KIMBALL, Esq., with the flattering but insidious disease of consumption, and first took a beautiful and accomplished sister, Mary, in 1826, and in quick succession, an elder brother, Benjamin, and himself. And the flowers of youth were faded, and the early hopes of parents and friends blighted. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
