Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, p 185 Frank Emerson FARMER, physician, St. Johnsbury [Caledonia County, Vermont], was born 01 May 1874 at East Burke [Caledonia County, Vermont], son of Alonzo C. and Susan E. (JENKINS) FARMER. Educated at Lyndon Institute, a graduate from the commercial department, class of 1891; North Yarmouth Academy, class of 1896; and the University of Vermont, medical department, class of 1899. Served one year as junior physician in the criminal insane hospital at Bridwater [Plymouth County], Massachusetts, and two years as junior physician in the Vermont State Hospital, Waterbury [Washington County]. Practiced medicine in Middlebury [Addison County, Vermont] from 1902 to 1905; since 1905 has engaged in practice at St. Johnsbury. Member of the Caledonia County Medical Society and American Medical Association. Republican. In religious belief a Congregationalist. Member of Crescent Lodge No. 66, Free & Accepted Masons, and Sons of Veterans. In 1903 Dr. [Frank Emerson] FARMER married [Miss?] Lulu A.
