Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, p 174 John A. DROUIN, physician, St. Johnsbury [Caledonia County, Vermont], was born 01 January 1879 at St. Johnsbury, son of J. O. and Mary (RICHARD) DROUIN. Educated at St. Johnsbury parochial school, and at Barbour's Business College. Studied languages and science at Sherbrook and Quebec Seminaries, and medicine at Laval and Baltimore Medical Schools, graduating from the latter with honorable mention. Dr. DROUIN was employed two years at a private hospital at Brattleboro [Windham County, Vermont], and is now a general practitioner. He has given much time to music, having studied under leading teachers in Canada; organist at college and university chapels; assistant to the regular organist at the Quebec basilica; choirmaster at Burlington [Chittenden County, Vermont]. At the present time he is organist and choirmaster at Notre Dame Church, directing a men's and boys' choir of thirty voices and a mixed choir of about twenty-five voices.
